Helicopter Tour: Meet the Museu do Amanhã
Helicopter tour: Get to Museu do Amanhã, inside and out!
Thinking of taking a helicopter tour with Rio2Fly to get a closer look at the beauty of Museu do Amanhã? So stay on top of this story.
First of all, the Museu do Amanhã acts as a monument. It is the focal point of the new Praça Mauá, which spent decades hidden behind the Perimetral Viaduct, demolished in April 2014.
It cost 300 million reais, funded by the City of Rio (through the sale of building permits) in partnership with the Roberto Marinho Foundation and master sponsorship of Banco Santander.
Together with neighboring MAR, the Museu do Amanhã served as the spearhead of the revitalization project of the Rio de Janeiro port area.
Especially since the Olympics, with the VLT coming into operation and the opening of the last section of Orla Conde, the region has become the buzz of cariocas and visitors – the success of the Boulevard Olímpico was much greater than expected.
And more:
Since November 2016, the region has another mega attraction: the AquaRio, Latin America’s largest aquarium.
However much attractions are planted or rediscovered in the region, however, it is undeniable that the focal point of the new central waterfront is the newest unidentified land object of Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.
And do you know the best angle to admire your beauty? The terrace of the neighboring museum, M.A.R., which acts as a stateroom for you to make your own postcard, entitled to the legend “Rio te amo”.
Inside, the Museu do Amanhã is a mega installation on the planet’s trajectory. Unlike an art museum, the collection here is informational. The art is in the way this information is arranged and offered to the visitor.
The exhibit works a bit like a 3D game, where you use your own legs to move from one stage to the next. At every stage you are led to interact, explore paths, discover secrets, answer quizzes, accumulate knowledge and skills that will be helpful in the next.
Moreover, in each room you find yourself encapsulated by a torrent of information.
In addition, almost all surfaces act as screens, always on, sending non-stop notifications.
What you read when you pass a certain place at 2 pm will be different from what someone who passes 10 minutes later will read.
Ticket Sales:
The Museu do Amanhã now has an excellent online ticket sales schedule, by appointment. Buy your ticket over the internet.
Above all, at the time the museum only offers a small batch of tickets per hour. The chance of missing the trip is great.
Free visits should also be booked online: over 60, students and public school teachers should book their time online, just like paying people.
At the time of your ticket, you pass the metal detector and show your voucher, printed at home or loaded on your phone. You then receive the magnetic card that gives access to the museum.
